The BatteryLab team

The BatteryLab team is made up of scientists and students who solve their research projects in the field of structures and systems for energy storage, conversion and management. Mutual discussion and cooperation within the team allows us to effectively solve individual scientific and technical tasks. We are open to cooperation and expanding our team.

Assoc. Prof. Miroslav Mikolášek PhD

Team leader – research of batteries, supercapacitors and hydrogen systems

He works as an associate professor at FEI STU, where he has long been focused on the development and diagnosis of elements for energy conversion and storage and on the characterization of electrical semiconductor components. Stimulates and coordinates the activities of the BatteryLab team with the aim of developing further research and development of batteries, supercapacitors and hydrogen systems.

Ing. Peter Ondrejka PhD

Development of supercapacitors

He works as a post doc at FEI STU, where he develops and diagnoses supercapacitor electrodes and elements with high energy density. It focuses on the use of metal oxides and sulfides (MoS2, NiO, and others). It develops the technology of preparing supercapacitor materials as well as the construction of the elements themselves.

Ing. Martin Kemény PhD

Diagnostics of batteries

He works as a post doc at FEI STU, where he conducts research in the field of analysis of degradation mechanisms of modern Li-ion batteries. Develops methodologies for electrical characterization of batteries, primarily EIS, GITT, DTV and others.

Ing. Matej Novák

Artificial intelligence for battery technologies

He works as a PhD student at FEI STU, where he conducts research and development in the field of machine learning for battery management
